Julia Haart and Silvio Scaglia’s marriage and business partnership ended in a complex legal dispute involving Elite World Group and their marital assets.

Julia Haart’s four-year divorce battle with Italian businessman Silvio Scaglia has reached a dramatic conclusion, with the My Unorthodox Life star emerging with full ownership of Elite World Group, according to court documents reported in September 2026. The dispute, which began after the couple separated in 2022, became a sprawling legal fight involving corporate ownership, alleged financial transfers, legal fees and one of Manhattan’s most expensive residential properties.

The outcome represents a striking reversal for Haart. She initially lost control of Elite World Group after a Delaware court found that Scaglia held a tiny voting advantage over her. Their ownership dispute ultimately hinged on a difference of less than one percentage point. Years later, however, proceedings in their New York divorce case shifted the balance dramatically in Haart’s favor.

The latest development was first detailed by Celebrity Net Worth and reported by Page Six source.

How Julia Haart’s Marriage Became a Business Partnership

Haart and Scaglia married in 2019 after meeting through the fashion industry. Haart had already established herself as a designer and entrepreneur, while Scaglia had built a business empire spanning technology and fashion investments.

Haart subsequently became CEO and chief creative officer of Elite World Group, the modeling and talent-management company controlled by Scaglia. Her transformation from an Orthodox Jewish community in New York to a prominent fashion executive became the foundation of Netflix’s My Unorthodox Life, which premiered in 2021.

The marriage and business relationship collapsed in 2022. Haart was removed from her positions at Elite World Group on the same day she filed for divorce, triggering separate legal battles over corporate control and the couple’s marital assets.

The initial corporate dispute went badly for Haart. A Delaware court determined that Scaglia held approximately 50.0004% of the voting shares, compared with Haart’s roughly 49.9996%. That microscopic difference gave Scaglia the controlling position needed to remove her.

Divorce Proceedings Changed the Balance

The corporate defeat did not end the broader divorce case. Proceedings in New York later turned in Haart’s favor after a judge struck Scaglia’s pleadings and entered a default judgment, citing repeated failures to comply with court orders concerning discovery, legal expenses, forensic costs and court appearances.

The resulting financial dispute involved Elite World Group and other assets controlled through the couple’s business structure. Haart was awarded interests in Freedom Holding and its subsidiaries, along with other financial claims, although parts of the original award were later sent back for additional findings and calculations.

The case also included allegations concerning millions of dollars allegedly transferred from company entities during the litigation. According to the reporting, Haart’s forensic accountant examined the transactions, while testimony from Scaglia’s former assistant put the disputed withdrawals at more than $25 million.

Scaglia’s attorneys have denied allegations of financial wrongdoing.

Another major piece of the divorce was the couple’s luxury penthouse at 70 Vestry Street in Tribeca. Scaglia purchased the property for approximately $55 million in 2018, according to The Real Deal source.

The roughly 7,800-square-foot residence became recognizable to viewers of My Unorthodox Life. Haart eventually gained control of the property and listed it for $65 million in November 2025.

In February 2026, the penthouse sold for $57 million, according to The Real Deal source. The sale ranked among the major downtown Manhattan residential transactions that year.

The property featured extensive outdoor space, multiple kitchens and luxury amenities, making it one of the most valuable personal assets involved in the divorce.

Julia Haart Now Owns Elite World Group

The most significant reversal concerns Elite World Group itself. According to the latest reporting and court papers, the value attributed to Scaglia’s disputed withdrawals ultimately offset the value of his remaining interest in the business.

That left Haart with 100% ownership of Elite World Group, turning the original 50/50 ownership dispute into a complete reversal.

Haart summarized the outcome in a statement quoted by Celebrity Net Worth: “In 2022, Silvio claimed I owned zero percent; today, he owns zero percent and I own 100 percent of EWG.”

For Haart, the result marks the end of a legal battle that began with her losing control of the company at the center of her post-Unorthodox Life career and concluded with her becoming its sole owner.
