The WWE Hall of Famer claims FAM Networks promised a six-figure monthly revenue stream but instead obtained sweeping rights to his identity and social media presence.

The legendary wrestler's enduring public persona remains central to his commercial identity.

WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has filed a lawsuit seeking at least $10 million from digital talent agency FAM Networks, alleging that the company misled him into signing an agreement that gave it extensive control over his name, image, likeness, voice, social media accounts, and commercial identity. The dispute centers on a contract Flair says he signed only 14 minutes after receiving it, without having an attorney review the terms.

According to the lawsuit, obtained and reported by The Independent, Flair received the agreement from FAM at 5:57 p.m. on December 5, 2025, and signed it at 6:11 p.m. The complaint alleges that the agreement granted FAM an “irrevocable, perpetual, sublicensable” license covering Flair’s identity across different forms of media.

Flair Says the Deal Gave FAM Broad Rights to His Identity

The lawsuit argues that Flair’s public persona represents decades of work and has significant commercial value. His complaint alleges that FAM obtained sweeping rights over that identity while a contractual statement indicated that the agreement had been negotiated with legal counsel, despite Flair claiming that no attorney had actually reviewed the document.

The complaint describes the circumstances by stating that FAM “gave him fourteen minutes to read it” before obtaining what it characterizes as a perpetual license to his identity. These are allegations made by Flair in the lawsuit and have not been established as fact by a court.

Flair says he was seeking help managing and monetizing his digital presence, particularly after problems with his Facebook account. According to the complaint, FAM promised to help restore and monetize the account while also pursuing speaking engagements, appearances and other commercial opportunities.

The agreement allegedly provided Flair with 90% of revenue from certain appearances and speaking engagements, while other projects were subject to different revenue-sharing arrangements. However, Flair claims the promised business opportunities did not materialize and that FAM instead benefited substantially from control of his digital platforms.

Ric Flair Claims He Lost at Least $250,000

Flair alleges that FAM’s management of his online presence resulted in significant financial losses. The complaint claims the company generated as much as $20,000 per month from his Facebook page while Flair received little of that revenue.

Speaking to The Independent, Flair said he believes he has already lost at least $250,000 because of the arrangement. He also accused FAM of taking control of his social media accounts and making it difficult for his existing team to regain access.

The lawsuit seeks more than simply compensation. Flair wants the agreement rescinded, control of his Facebook page returned, and a full accounting of money allegedly generated through his identity. He is seeking at least $5 million for alleged breach of contract and another $5 million for alleged fraudulent inducement, along with additional damages and legal costs.

Flair Says He Wants to Take Back the Ric Flair Brand

The dispute is particularly significant because Flair’s name and persona have remained commercially valuable long after his peak years in professional wrestling.

“I spent more than forty years building the name Ric Flair, with my body, my blood, and everything I had,”

Flair told The Independent. He also said,

“I built this name, I earned this name, and I’m going to fight to take it back.”

The case remains ongoing, and Flair’s claims against FAM Networks have not been proven in court. FAM’s response to the allegations will be important as the legal dispute develops, particularly over the circumstances surrounding the contract and the company’s handling of Flair’s digital accounts.
