Nick Saban built his reputation on college football fields, but his post-coaching career has increasingly taken shape in the automotive business. The legendary former Alabama coach is a co-owner of Dream Motor Group, a dealership company that has expanded from its original Mercedes-Benz operations into a multi-brand automotive network across the United States.
The scale of that business has made Saban’s ownership stake increasingly significant. While his exact percentage in the group has not been publicly disclosed, the company has continued making major acquisitions, giving Saban another substantial source of wealth beyond his decades of football earnings.
Saban’s Automotive Business Has Grown Into a Major Network
Dream Motor Group was founded through Saban’s partnership with automotive executive Joe Agresti, with former Mercedes-Benz USA CEO Steve Cannon also becoming a partner. The group currently operates dealerships representing brands including Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari, INFINITI, Toyota, Lexus, Nissan and Mitsubishi.
The business has expanded considerably since Saban first became involved. Forbes reported in 2025 that Dream Motor Group was generating annual revenue approaching $2 billion and selling roughly 20,000 Mercedes-Benz vehicles annually, alongside additional Infiniti and Ferrari sales.
Saban’s involvement is more than a celebrity association. Dream Motor Group identifies him as a partner and co-owner, while Agresti handles much of the company’s day-to-day operations. The exact ownership structure varies across the group’s individual ventures, making it impossible to calculate Saban’s current business fortune precisely from publicly available information.

Major Acquisitions Have Driven Dream Motor Group’s Expansion
One of the group’s biggest moves came in 2023, when it acquired Mercedes-Benz dealerships in Coral Gables and Cutler Bay, Florida. The transaction was widely reported as a roughly $730 million deal, marking a major expansion into the South Florida market.
Dream Motor Group continued expanding in 2025 by acquiring Toyota of Montgomery and Lexus of Montgomery in Alabama. Pinnacle Mergers & Acquisitions announced the transaction at a reported value of $151 million.
The group added another two dealerships in April 2026. Dream acquired Bill Seidle’s Nissan and Mitsubishi dealerships in Doral, Florida, along with their associated real estate. The Presidio Group confirmed that the transaction closed on April 1, 2026, describing it as an expansion of Dream’s existing South Florida presence.
Dream Motor Group’s own current dealership listings show locations spanning Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Tennessee and Texas, with brands ranging from Mercedes-Benz and Ferrari to Toyota, Lexus, Nissan and Mitsubishi.
How Much Could Nick Saban Actually Be Worth?
The biggest unanswered question is how much of Dream Motor Group Saban personally owns.
Forbes previously reported that Saban is a minority partner in many of the group’s ventures, while Agresti holds majority stakes and manages the business. Forbes also reported in 2025 that Agresti had reached billionaire status and suggested Saban could potentially follow, depending on the value of his interests.
That does not mean Saban is confirmed to be a billionaire. Without a publicly disclosed valuation for the entire group or Saban’s exact ownership percentages, claims about his current net worth or billionaire status remain estimates.
What is clear is that his automotive holdings have become a serious business enterprise. Dream Motor Group’s continued acquisitions suggest Saban’s business career is still expanding years after he stepped away from coaching.
